Rare Tumor Surgery to a New Born Baby

A rare surgery was performed by our pediatric surgeon, Dr. G.V.S.N. Prasad, on a two-day-old baby who was born with an intestinal tumor. The baby was born on 19^th June 2025, in our hospital. During the pre-delivery scan, the tumor was identified by the gynecologist. It was decided to take up the treatment for the tumor after the delivery. During the surgery a complication arose wherein the baby’s small intestine was ruptured, which was successfully operated on along with the removal of the tumor by Dr. G.V.S.N. Prasad. Under the leadership of Dr. G.V.S.N. Prasad, pediatric surgeon, pediatric doctors Dr. Nishant, Dr. Sriharsha, and gynecologist Dr. Ratna have participated in the surgery. The baby recovered well and was discharged.
