Pre-Sankranti Sambaralu was organized on the 8th, 9th, & 10th of January 2026 by the students in the campus. A village like atmosphere was created in the college grounds. Village huts were erected, and a model village farmer’s residential campus was created. Traditional Haridasulu and Gangireddu were present on the campus. A bullock & bullock cart was also displayed on the campus, and various animals like ducks, rabbits, and poultry were also displayed on the campus.

Bhogi was celebrated on January 8th, 2026 morning. Students and staff have participated in large numbers. Principal Dr. (Major) M.V. Bhimeswar has lit the Bhogi fire. Students and staff danced around the Bhogi fire to folklore music. On the same day, a rangoli competition was conducted, in which students drew beautiful rangolies depicting the Sankranti concept.

On January 9th, 2026, the Sankranti festival was celebrated. The Sankranti village was named “Pinnamaneni Vari Palle” in remembrance and honor of the founder president of Siddhartha Academy, Dr. Pinnamaneni Venkateswara Rao garu.

Pinnamaneni village was inaugurated by Sri Paladugu Lakshmana Rao garu, Secretary of Siddhartha Academy; Sri N. Lalthi Prasad garu, Joint Secretary of Siddhartha Academy; other Academy members Sri Vellanki Nagabhushana Rao and Sri Chanumolu Krishna Rao garu, Vice-Presidents of Siddhartha Academy; Sri Sureddi Venkateswara Rao, Treasurer of Siddhartha Academy; Sri Sureddi Vishnu garu, Joint Secretary of Siddhartha Academy; and Sri Paladugu Naga Sai Madhusudan Rao garu have also participated in the festivies. These dignitaries visited the village and witnessed the cultural events like Kolatam, etc., presented by the students. Pongal was cooked by female faculty members. Lunch was arranged with complete traditional Sankranti special food items like Arisalu, Garelu, Jalebi, Payasam, Pulihora, Sambar rice & curd rice, along with the Pongal cooked in the Sankranti village.

Display of Gangireddu stunts and Haridasu, goat cart, and Bullock & Bullock cart are special attractions. A special cockfight is also organized without knives, which is enjoyed by all those present.

On January 10th, 2026, the cultural programs were presented by the students, and at the end of the day, prizes were distributed to the winners of rangoli and other events.
