GENERAL MEDICINE
The department of Medicine has become an integral and essential part of this Medical Institution with growing stress and strain of life, awareness of illness and approachability of Dr. PSIMS & RF Medical College have resulted in increased pool of help seekers with medical problems.
The department of Medicine of Dr. Pinnamaneni Siddhatha Institute of Medical Sciences Hospital has been playing a crucial role in meeting these demands effectively and devotedly. The department has an out-patient section, in-patient ward, emergency services and community medicine wing.
Post – graduate course in Medicine was started in Dr. PSIMS & RF Hospital in the year 2009-2010. There are 6 seats per year. All seats are degree courses.
Team of the Department
It has a full fledged Professors, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professors. The superiors, colleagues and subordinates have very smooth and cordial relations and have team spirit while serving the needy.
Clinical Services
History taking, clinical examination, proper diagnosis, effective treatment, regular follow – up and compliance of treatment with human touch and warmth are the hallmarks of the clinical services provided in the department of Medicine.
Out – patient services start at the stroke of 9 AM and continue. In – patient and emergency services are provided round the clock.
Academic Activities
Under- graduate teaching with audio-visual aids and bed-side clinics to inculcate the basic elements of Medicine and how to develop healthy doctor-patient relationship. Post-graduate academic activities encompass case-conferences, seminars, group discussions, lectures and journal clubs.
