Orthopaedic Surgery involves the study of diseases, disorders, and injuries to the musculoskeletal system and requires a comprehensive knowledge of anatomy, biology, mechanics, Pathophysiology, and epidemiology, as well as their application to the musculoskeletal system. The Department of Orthopaedics Surgery, more than 18 active faculty members direct clinical and educational activities to our students, residents.
Coursework and Training
Seven residents are selected each year through the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET).Incoming residents spend the first year in a core program that includes rotations in trauma, emergency medicine, general surgery, neurological surgery, and plastic surgery. Throughout their residency, our residents participate in courses through the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) and continue fracture management education.
