Suicide prevention day was observed in the campus on 10th September 2018. A meeting was conducted by the department of Psychiatry at 9:00 AM in Hanumara Lecture Gallery-I. All the students have participated in the meeting.
The faculty of department of Psychiatry have explained the students about the “suicide warning signs” and how to react to such signs.
A candle light rally was also organized at 8:00 PM in the campus to show support for suicide prevention, to remember a lost loved one and for the survivors of suicide.
Director General Dr.Chadalawada Nageswara Rao, Principal- Dr.P S N Murthy, Medical Superintendent-Dr.B N Chander, HODs, Faculty of other departments and students have participated.
Dr.K.Madhavi, Associate Professor, Department of Psychiatry has co-ordinated the program.
