A national-level Hemovigilance workshop was organized by the department of pathology of our institution on 29th August 2025. The workshop was conducted as a part of the festivities of the Golden Jubilee celebrations (1975–2025) of Siddhartha Academy of General and Technical Education. The workshop was conducted in association with the National Institute of Biologicals (NIB)

Dr. C. Nageswara Rao, Director General, was the chief guest at the inauguration of the workshop. Dr. Neelakanta Reddy I.A.S., project director, Andhra Pradesh State AIDS Control Society, and Dr. B. Prasanna, joint director (BTS & Blood Cell), Andhra Pradesh State AIDS Control Society, were guests of honor.

The workshop was attended by 378 participants, which include 227 doctors, 37 staff nurses, and 114 technical supervisors. During the workshop, expert sessions and discussions on hemovigilance and blood transfusion safety have taken place.
